  • A carefully chosen name, Kavod is a Hebrew word that translates roughly to weight or significance. It holds many other meanings—honor, respect, reverence, and distinction being the few we felt best represented our purpose and our goals.

Meet Our Artists

  • Kai Spindt

    Following in his father’s footsteps, Kai’s passion for jewelry began when he first picked up the torch in a high school course. While honing his skills under Milo’s guidance, Kai realized jewelry is more than a creative outlet—it’s a way to express identity and foster connection.

    Through Kavod, Kai is creating more than just handcrafted elegance—he shares the thrill and fulfillment that metalworking brings him, building a community where jewelry becomes a reflection of each individual’s personal stories, lifestyle, and personality. 

  • Milo Spindt

    Milo started his goldsmithing journey at 14 years old when he took a jewelry class in school. He went on to earn a BS in Fine and Applied Art in Metal Smithing from the University of Oregon while doing an apprenticeship with a custom jeweler in Eugene, OR.


    For Milo, jewelry is a craft of artistic self adornment with color and emotion, and he loves to help people bring their ideas to life.
